A former Soviet sanatorium nestled in the heart of the Caucasian Massif, the Rooms Hotel Kazbegi is now one of the most inspiring places in Georgia. Raw concrete, local wood and large glass openings combine to offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Here, no ostentatious luxury, but a sober atmosphere and a profound sense of place. We sit there to reflect, discuss or simply observe the mountain.
“
In a few years, Rooms Hotel Kazbegi became an internationally popular destination, attracting urban, creative and entrepreneurial clientele from Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Far from the classical model of mountain hotels, Adjara focuses on a radically different proposal: a raw, minimalist place integrated into the landscape, favoring local materials, wood and exposed concrete. The hotel does not just exploit the natural beauty of the place: it builds an immersive customer experience, where the landscape becomes an integral part of the product.
Economically, Rooms Hotel Kazbegi now represents an exemplary success in territorial adaptation and diversification: income from not only the hotel industry but also from exclusive professional events, artistic collaborations, and from a local gastronomic offer that has become autonomous thanks to an integrated organic farm. The place has also revived the entire local economy of the village of Stepantsminda, once isolated, now boosted by the constant influx of international visitors.
