Since 2015, in:Expeditions has organised learning expeditions and impact-driven team offsites for companies and institutions in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada. From Canada, the trip starts with a transatlantic flight, about 7 h from Montreal to Paris; once in Europe, the group travels by train. Once there, your team meets the people behind the projects, chosen from a map of 2,500 impact initiatives.
The transatlantic flight accounts for most of the trip’s carbon footprint. To make the most of it, the programme can combine two destinations linked by train on a single round trip: Paris and London, Paris and Amsterdam, Paris and Geneva. Montreal has the best connections: direct flights to Paris, Geneva, Lisbon, London and Dakar.
Montreal : Direct flights to Paris (about 7 h, with Air Canada, Air France and Air Transat), Geneva (Air Canada, about 8 h), Lisbon, London and Dakar (Air Transat).
Quebec City : Seasonal direct flights to Paris; in 2026, Air Transat opened a direct Quebec City to Marseille route, once a week from May to October.
Toronto : Daily direct flights to Paris (Air Canada, Air France, Air Transat) and direct flights to London.
Prices and quotes are in euros, excluding VAT, per person: from €700 excl. VAT in Paris to €4,000 excl. VAT in Geneva, depending on the destination. Each destination page shows its starting price.
Programmes run in French or in English, as the group prefers.
A learning expedition is designed for a group of at least 10 people.
Everything starts with a 15 to 45 minute call with an in:Expeditions journalist, by video or phone: your constraints, your expectations, your goals. in:Expeditions then recommends 2 to 4 destinations. All the preparation happens remotely.
If you need it, journalists and expedition leaders travel with the group: they run the discussions, introduce each topic and share their analysis at the end of the day.

Montreal and Toronto are six hours behind Paris for most of the year: a 10 a.m. call in Montreal is 4 p.m. in Paris. The first call is scheduled in your morning.
Raise the question of transatlantic flights at the first call: the quote states what it includes.
Yes, to cross the Atlantic: about 7 h non-stop from Montreal to Paris. In Europe, the group then travels by train: from Paris, London is 2 h 17 away, Marseille 3 h 04, Geneva 3 h 11 and Amsterdam 3 h 20.
Programmes last 1 to 8 days on site depending on the destination. With the time difference, plan an arrival day before the first meeting. Pairing two destinations linked by train gets the most out of a single transatlantic round trip.
Among the destinations on this page: Paris, Geneva, Lisbon, London and Dakar. From Quebec City, Air Transat also flies direct to Marseille in summer, once a week. From Toronto, Paris and London.
In French or in English, as the group prefers: a team from Montreal and a team from Toronto each get their working language.
Euros, excluding VAT, per person: from €700 to €4,000 excl. VAT depending on the destination, for at least 10 people. Each destination page shows its starting price.
