Study trip

The study trip is where the learning expedition comes from: going to see how others have solved the question you are working on. in:Expeditions uses a map of 2,500 active initiatives to choose the sites and the people to meet, and prepares each encounter with its journalists.

Companies, schools and institutions find very concrete subjects: a campus for the farming transition, a sea worm that is advancing medicine, drinking water drawn from fog in Morocco.

How your project is prepared

  • It starts with a 15 to 45 minute interview with an in:Expeditions journalist: your constraints, expectations and learning goals.
  • in:Expeditions then recommends 2 to 4 destinations, chosen from a constantly updated map of 2,500 active initiatives.
  • If you wish, its journalists and expedition leaders join the group on site: they run the discussions, introduce the topics and share their analysis at the end of each day.
